Bodyfat calipers are a finicky tool. I made some measurements this weekend and they just seemed odd, a jump from 16% bodyfat to 13%, I don't think so.
Anyway, I retested a day after, this time making sure not to press too hard with the calipers and got back a more sensible number.
So this week's progress report:
Overall weight - 106kg
Bodyfat - 16%
Lean body mass - 88.3kg
Body fat - 17.6kg
My past measurements might not be as accurate, it takes a long time to get good at using the calipers. Heck, even this measurement might be off.
Regardless it's a nice way to measure progress, along with monthly photographs and whatnot.

Little Update
My mum made me get on the weighing scales before schedule, because she was interested for some reason. I usually do weighing and caliper measurements each Saturday, and have decided to take a photo once a month.
Anyway, when I stepped on the scales I weighed 107 kilos. I started at 110 kg, so I think things are going just swell.

Progress Digest 20/08/2011
According to my measurements today, my bodyfat now rests around 16%. Just to compare, my last check was around 18% bodyfat. Next week will be my first month where I stuck to a good nutritional plan and daily cardio. Looking good for a lifestyle change, I think.
Statistics as of 20/08/2011
Bodyfat - 16%
Very pleased with these results! Who knows where I will be in another month or two.

Protein Supplement
I received a 1kg bag of Zyzz's "Protein of the Gods" today. It was the cheapest I could find and looks to be of high quality. I got the chocolate flavour, and it tastes quite good I will say. It was $36 for the kilo, which I find to be quite the bargain.
It has already helped me reach my protein goal today, and I don't doubt that it will help on those days where I just don't feel like eating another meal but need the calories and protein.
I spent today playing video games and did my daily cardio in the evening, followed by some strength training, so all in all it was a pretty good day. I made beef, mixed veg, and brown rice stir fry for dinner tonight, and I put a couple of egg whites with the rice to get that special fried going. Will definately have it again.

Progress Digest 16/08/11
Here is a digest of my progress so far:
I have lost 1% bodyfat, according to my measurements. You can never really tell how accurate bodyfat caliper readings are, especially when you haven't used them much before.
According to the measurements and calculations, these are the follow numbers:
Bodyfat - 18%
Lean Body Mass - 89kg
Body Fat - 20kg
So that is some inspiring progress for me, I measure my bodyfat every Saturday to gauge my progress. I am not sure how often to take a comparitive photograph, I am thinking every 2 weeks but maybe once a month. I have yet to decide.
I have been doing jump rope for cardio every day, for 20-25 mins each day. I feel better than ever after this and I feel I am becoming addicted to the feel good sensations I get after a good cardio session.

Intro of sorts
I've been changing my lifestyle lately, I started on the fourth of August 2011, and at time of writing am still going strong. I was inspired by Scooby1961, whose videos I was shown on YouTube. You can find his website here.
